The story of Sigma is the union of spirit and commitment to serve, with a firm foundation of learning and genuine interest in the wellbeing of others. This is crystalized in our motto:Culture for Service and Service for Humanity. We undertake to celebrate the long line of Sigma men who held true to our founding principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship and Service and who for one Century rendered creditable service to improve conditions and opportunities for our fellowman in all communities.
May we do honor in some small measure to the dedication of those who went before us. Through our tributes we celebrate the achievements. We resolve to hold our standards high. We rededicate ourselves for a brand new Century, with the same fervor first shown by three collegiates, our revered Founders A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse and Charles I. Brown, at Howard University, in 1914.
